US Congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords is shifted to rehabilitation centre this week. Giffords who was shot in the forehead in Arizona on Saturday 8th January.

Mobile Number Portability and MNP India: Mobile Number Portability (MNP) has released throughout India from 20th January, 2011. Users will get mobile service provider without changing present mobile number.

Prime Minister of India, Mr. Manmohan Singh will launch the new system on Thursday at 5pm in Vigyan Bhavan Official Convention Centre. Mobile Number Portability service was accessible in Haryana. The mobile users have to send an SMS from their mobile to 1900, a distinctive porting code will be sent by the mobile service provider through an SMS. The mobile user has to file a submission with new mobile service provider with code transfer the connection. Customers should pay just Rs.19 for this new connection.

Currently, India is having 700 million mobile users, most of the CDMA mobile customers are eagerly waiting for the Mobile number Portability service to GSM. The leading CDMA mobile services in India are Reliance and Tata. The customer should be continue with the same network for at least three months to convert to new network.

Mobile Number Portability officials stated that maximum waiting time to fix for porting is seven working days. This technology is popular in few parts of North America, Europe, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

Mobile Number Portability is finally available through out India from today i.e., 20 January, 2011. The Mobile Number Portability (MNP) has been delaying for two years from June 2009. MNP allows user to change network without changing number.

The user can shift from one network to other by just sending SMS followed up their mobile number to 1900, SMS PORT <mobile number> to 1900 to get the unique porting code by finishing this process. It takes five days to change into another network. The Mobile Number Portability is offering this service for 19 rupees.

MNP service was first reached the Indian users in last November only in Haryana region. Mobile Number Portability service will be mainly useful for more high-end to middle-level users. He wants experience other network offers and for better service facilities, but not willing to change his number.

Mobile Number Portability service will be most gainful to the low branded companies offering better offers such as Uninor, Videocon. Idea have already started a customer care service for this MNP and also looking forward in publicity stunts. Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata Docomo, BSNL and Aircel are also offering this service.

IIFA Awards 2011: The International Indian Film Academy Awards 2011 well known as IIFA Awards 2011 will make its debut in Canada and Ontario. The IIFA awards 2011 will last for three days in the weekend from 23rd to 25th of June.

The IIFA is a South Asian Film Academy that establishes a mutual relationship between India and the other countries, and also in the areas of tourism, trade and culture. It is a global platform for India to spread the greatness of the Indian Film Industry across the globe. The IIFA has travelled to different locations that include China, Great Britain, Middle East, Europe, Thailand and Sri Lanka but they decided to host in the North American debut Canada and Ontario. Canada has population over 0.9 million in which 0.55 million are of Indians. Air India is the airline that flies directly from India to Canada.

American Idol season 10 has grabbed a number of teenagers to examine their cute and impressive voices. The season was kicked off on Wednesday night where Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were the new judges including the returning judge, Randy Jackson. As the judges promised that they would shake it up, but failed to do so.

Kenzie Palmer and Robbie Rosen have the impressive voices among all participants. On the other side, a sixteen year old teen from Lumberton named Victoria Huggins sang a beautiful song of Gladys Knight's 'Midnight Train to Georgia'. She said to judges that it was her opportunity for her age but not for her voice. A 20-year-old bluesy singing waitress named Devyn Rush from Pennsylvania had a powerful voice.

The judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez seems to be little soft than the previous ones, if Simon would be present then he would have made the choices into half. A total of fifty one participants were selected including youngest contestant ever on the show named Kenzie Palmer, who was just fifteen years old.

Mike Singletary is the former head coach of San Francisco 49ers. Now, Mike Singletary is going to be joining with Minnesota Vikings as the assistant head coach.

Mike Singletary will be the assistant head coach and linebackers coach under the Leslie Frazier for the Vikings. Singletary had 18-22 record in two seasons with San Francisco 49ers. Singletary and Frazier were the teammates while playing for Chicago bears in 1985 Super Bowl title season; they were close friends since several years. Singletary had 1488 career tackles with seven interceptions in his 12-year career. He was the ten best pro bowls and top player in the 1985. Singletary was elected as Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998.

Singletary started his coaching career with Baltimore Ravens as linebackers coach and worked for two years. Later, he was appointed as assistant head coach in 2005.  Singletary was elected as head coach for the San Francisco in 2008. Mike Singletary spent his time as linebacker coach for the Chicago bears before he went to San Francisco in 2008.

San Francisco 49ers went 5-10 under the Singletary this season winning the final regular season with interim coach Tomsula.
