Gambhir steps down Windies tour with sore shoulder

Gautam Gambhir, who is appointed as the captain of Indian cricket team for West Indies tour in the absence of MS Dhoni, is likely to miss the ODI series due to sore shoulder.

The left hander has picked up shoulder injury in the finals of ICC World Cup 2011 against Sri Lanka. He represented KKR in IPL 4 and played full season with the sore shoulder. Gambhir captained the side and played some fine knocks in KKR wins, under his captaincy KKR reached their first semi-final of the Indian Premier League.

Andrew Leipus, Kolkata Knight Riders physio has wrote a letter to BCCI that Gambhir has been suffering with sore shoulder the entire season of IPL 4. He quoted in his letter that Gambhir is initially claimed there is pain in his shoulder where he arm reduced the power of his throw. Leipus reported that Gambhir had two corticosteroid injections.

In the second playoff game against Kolkata vs. Mumbai, Gambhir has again sustained the concern over his shoulder when he got rid of Rohit Sharma by his brilliant throw. On coming to Mumbai team physio thought having cautious MRI and a consultation with a leading Shoulder Orthopedic Surgeon. The surgeon and physio believe that Gambhir should follow a serious, supervised and traditional rehabilitation pathway. They suggested rest for at least 4-6 weeks to stay away from batting and throwing.

India team will have to look out for another replacement for Gautam Gambhir as he advised to take rest for 6 weeks. Virender Sehwag ruled out of Windies tour due to shoulder surgery and Sachin Tendulkar is rested for short format of the game.

Will Suresh Raina captain the side as he was the vice-captain for the West Indies tour in the absences of Gambhir or BCCI appoints another captain?

Obama insists British-U.S relationship

President Barack Obama affirmed the Britain and the United States to remain as essential partners yesterday. The Prime Minister David Cameron revealed the differences over issues of the military campaign in Libya and the Middle East peace process.

Obama stated that time is now for them to alliance with Britain and to stay top on the world of rising powers and new threats. He even rejected the argument that the cruising nations like China, India and Brazil can't be future leader after their time. He added that U.s and Britain will be the greatest catalysts for global action.

In a two day visit of Obama was welcomed with great ceremony and personal warmth. Later, both Cameron and Obama confirmed the special relationship but disagreed with everything. Cameron addressing media, he refused to provide British support for the Palestinians as they push for UN recognition of an independent state. He even advices the threat of European support could force the Israelis and Palestinians can bring on the peace talks.

Obama and Cameron moved like closely calling Barack and David which resembles the previous leaders George W. Bush and Tony Blair. Cameron praised Obama for his proposal to use Israel's pre 1967 borders, with land swaps, as a starting point to break a deadlock between Israelis and Palestinians. But both men called for a clear distinction between the special relationship that existed during the Bush-Blair years and the relationship today.

Cameron said they were doing things in a different manner and have ruled out occupying forces, invading armies.
