| Ford prepares a heart-rate monitor for the driver’s seat Posted: 25 May 2011 04:56 PM PDT Ford is working on a chair that will incorporate a heart monitor without disturbing the driver. That chair is designed to detect the driver's state and his alert level. For example, if the driver has heart problems or suffers a heart attack, that seat will detect this and may contact the medical services. “As always in medicine, the earlier a condition is detected the easier it is to treat and this technology even has the potential to be instrumental in diagnosing conditions,” said Dr. Achim Lindner. The system uses six sensors to detect electrical impulses caused by the beating of the heart. The pulses are stored and interpreted by a computer, and changes can also be recorded in the memory of the device. Ford believes that the widespread implementation of this system will be extremely useful in the future because the average age of drivers is increasing. So close that the two singers went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4, along with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. Justin Bieber decided to go see the movie, accompanied by his girlfriend, but also by Chris Brown and Demi Lovato.
“Everyone in the theater couldn't believe they were all here together,” a source said. “They were all jumping up and down around each other like kids. Selena and Demi were especially affectionate with each other. They all looked really to be hanging out together. If you didn't recognize them you'd think they were a bunch of regular high schoolers.”
The four friends were smart because they chose an evening session at midnight as there aren't many people at that hour. Yet according to some sources, they all left the room before the end of the movie.
